Thursday was the last day of the week (Easter break). My 12 year old wanted to help out for taekwondo testing so he could get a donut. I told him I’d buy him a donut and my oldest offered to drive them if I paid.
I gave them money and sat down to play a video game. My phone rang fifteen minutes later. “My car won’t start. We’re stranded.”
I drive over to the Tim Horton’s and find a DEAD car. Nothing. Hook up my booster cables, NOTHING. An older gentleman comes over to admire the ‘99 Cadillac my teenager drives. He suggests I adjust the cables because the black isn’t on metal and I get a slight charge but the car still won’t turn over.
I call my husband who just arrived home. Likely confused as to why there are NO cars here. He comes over and we put his cables on and find out my booster cables are broken and finaly get the car started. Drive home, and figure out sometime later the wires connecting the battery to the car were loose and all is well.
And then I got a Scrub Daddy at Canadian Tire and I have a week off from work. (I work in a grade one class with the best group of kiddos).
